William "Bill" Dave Moses was born on August 11, 1928 in Winner, South Dakota to Carl H. Moses and Emelia Ann (Jares) Moses, the third of eleven children. One son, Earl, died shortly after being born.

Bill lived in Winner his entire life. He talked about going barefoot for nearly an entire year, and that growing up in a large family you made sure you were not the last to the table!  He attended grade school and graduated from Winner High School in 1946.  He worked at the Farmer's Coop while attending high school and played basketball on the varsity team even as a freshman.

Bill married the love of his life, Evelynne Mae Wickstrom, on May 20, 1947.  To this union three children were born:  Steven, Sally & Debra.

Bill began working at Schramm Furniture in 1948.  He was a faithful and trusted employee until his retirement in 1993.  Bill helped many folks in the surrounding communities with carpet, draperies, and furniture.  He always joked that he had been in more bedrooms in the county than anyone else!

Whether cheering on the Winner Warriors, Gregory Gorillas, Vikings, Twins, or Wolves he was an avid sports fan.  Bill loved sports of all kinds!  During his day he won the city golf tournament, the city bowling tournament twice, and the "Schramm Rockers" won the city softball tournament numerous times.  Bill coached Steven many years of his Little League career.  Bill's love for the game of golf was evident.  He was instrumental in the construction of the golf course and club house and was a lifetime member of the Winner Country Club playing with his good friends even after turning 80. Sports of any kind were his favorite pastime.

His life was filled with grandchildren, their activities, card games, coffee at McDonald's, and devotion to the Lord.  Bill was a lifelong member of the Winner United Methodist Church where he served on many committees and boards.

Love, patience, and respect were the foundation of Bill and Evelynne's 71-year love affair.  Their commitment to each other and their family is one of the greatest love stories ever.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Evelynne of 71 years, son Steven and wife Cathy, grandchildren Marcy (Jared), Megan (Jason), Mindi (Gregg), Matthew (Rowena), and Molly (Merritt), daughter Sally and husband Nelson Miller, grandchildren Sara (Brian) and Sonya (Scott), daughter Debra and husband Scott Ochsner, grandchildren Amanda (Dennis) and Amy (Paul), and by eighteen great grandchildren, with one more expected in June 2019, three sisters, Bernice Weickum, Shirley (DL) Hart, and Jeanetta (Boots) Moses, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bill's love for his wife, his family and the Lord is considered his greatest legacy.
