William Kenneth Sargent was born on December 10th 1987 in Winner, SD. The second son of Larry and Joan (Lebert) Sargent of Winner. He attended grade school at the rural Star Prairie School and graduated from Winner High School in 2006. Will started riding bulls at a young age and his love for the sport was a very important part of his life. He traveled all over the country to participate in PRCA rodeos and PBR bull ridings. In 2010, he was thrown from a bull sustaining serious injuries which included a fractured skull. His recovery from these injuries was long and with a young family at home, Will decided it was time to hang up his bull rope. He loved following his friends' progress who continued on in the sport and was very proud of them.
On December 8th 2011, he was married to Therese Assman in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they have two children: Wakely (5yrs) and Wynn (18mo). His children were his pride and the joy of his life and he was a patient and wonderful father.
Will worked at various jobs including Coyote Fencing, Schmidt Trucking and currently was working at Rosebud Concrete. He really enjoyed being able to drive truck for an occupation. His employers always appreciated that he was a hard worker who would get the job done.
He had a passion for guns, pheasant and coyote hunting, and taking his kids fishing. Will loved going out and to events with his wife and friends. He lived life to the fullest which tended to get him into trouble here and there, but those who knew him, loved him. He was great at telling a story and had a contagious laugh and smile.
On November 12th 2016, Will joined the Lord after a fatal motor vehicle accident.
Will leaves to mourn his wife Therese, daughter Wakely, son Wynn; his parents Larry and Joan; brother Craig with his wife Heather and their three children Jude, Oren and Elsie; two grandmothers Helen Bateman and Garnet Sargent; uncle and aunt Riley and Tammy Sargent with their sons Clint, Cory and daughter Baley; aunts Carla Lebert and Tammy Turner and Tammy's son Roy along with many other family members and friends.
