Wayne Long Crow, age 59, of Ideal, passed away on November 13, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Ideal Hall in Ideal. Burial will follow at the Ideal Cemetery. Wake Services will be held on Thursday, November 16, and Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Ideal Hall in Ideal.

Wayne Emery Long Crow was born to Wilmer Long Crow and Charlotte Thunder Cook on August 14, 1958. He attended Ideal school and Todd County High School. After receiving his G.E.D., he entered the U.S. Army.

He enjoyed watching softball games, horseshoes, and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time at his home site where he hosted Fourth of July and other family gatherings.

He is survived by his children Wayne Long Crow Jr., Danielle Long Crow, Lowell Long Crow Sr., Kellie Long Crow, and Christine Eagle Star. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Larry Long Crow Sr., Charles Long Crow, Leona Long Crow Foote (Dewey), Harold Cook (Frances), Blossom Cook (Rodney Foote), and Tammy Cook Foote (Gerrit); and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, and one surviving uncle Harry Thunder.

He is preceded in death by his parents Wilmer Long Crow and Charlotte Cook, his children Jerrod and Sheila Long Crow, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
