Waylon Eagle Star, 48, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Saturday, June 1 ^st , 2019 in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 10 ^th , 2019 at 2:00PM at the Winner Middle School Auditorium in Winner, SD. Burial will follow in the Ideal Cemetery in Ideal, SD. A wake service will be held on Saturday June 8 ^th , 2019 at 7:00PM and on Sunday June 9 ^th , 2019 at 7:00PM all at the Winner Middle School Auditorium in Winner, SD.

Waylon David Eagle Star Sr. was born April 6, 1971 to Millian Eagle Star & Selma (Thelma) Eagle Hawk Gilbert in Rosebud SD.

Waylon was 48 years old when he started his journey home on June 1 ^st , 2019 in Sioux Falls, SD.

Waylon attended elementary and middle school at St. Joseph's Indian School. He then attended high school and graduated from Flandreau Indian School.

Waylon spent majority of his time with his 6 brothers, his cousins, & his Grandmother Nanette Swift Eagle.

Waylon loved to cook (loved making bread). He enjoyed horseshoes, softball, & volleyball. Waylon had an awesome sense of humor. He always brought laughter to the crowd.

In 2000 Waylon became a father to a very beautiful set of twin's girls, Jeslyn Destiny Raine & Joslyn Honesty Rose. A short 2 years later Waylon was blessed with another set of twins, Waylon Orlando & Nanette Marilyn. He also took in and helped raise Edith Eagle Hawk (cousin) and Bradly Merle Wright (Chaske LeRoy Eagle Star- nephew). Waylon loved his children very much.

Waylon moved to Sioux Falls in 2005 to help his mother & brothers. He resided there until his passing.

Waylon is survived by his father Millian Eagle Star, his children Jeslyn & Joslyn (Eagle Star) Felix, Waylon & Nanette Eagle Star, All of Winner, his 9 brothers Leland Fallis Sioux Falls, SD, Brendon Eagle Star Springfield, SD, Myron Eagle Star, Travis (Natasha) Swift Eagle, Willyon DeNoyer, Galen DeNoyer, all of Sioux Falls, SD, Cody Medicine Eagle Mission, SD, Milton Sr. & Greg Eagle Star Winner, SD, and 3 sisters Natasha (Jessica) Eagle Star, Frieda "Jane" Eagle Star and Sherry Eagle Star all of Winner, SD.

Waylon is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents: Clarence "Matt" Eagle Hawk & Nanette Swift Eagle. His paternal grandparents Homer & Cora (Lever) Eagle Star). His mother Selma (Thelma Eagle Hawk) Gilbert. Two sisters Rose & Birdie Iron Heart, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
