T om Fenenga, 71, of Hamill, SD passed away at his home on Saturday, December 3, 2022.  A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 2:00PM at the Hamill Hall in Hamill, SD.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Tom was born on December 19, 1950 to Therlow and Doris (Timmins) Fenenga in Winner, South Dakota.  Tom attended school in both Hamill and Winner and graduated from Winner High School in 1969.  Following his high school graduation Tom attended college at South Dakota State University where he received his bachelor's degree in animal science.

Tom was united in marriage to Janet Woidneck on January 29, 1972.  To this union 3 children were born; Clay, Ann and Brad.

Tom was a man that loved to work, as a lifelong farmer and rancher and he never really retired.  He was always interested in learning, and not being scared to try new methods that would be beneficial to the family ranch.  He taught his kids and grandchildren the value of  hard work and everyone that knew Tom knew this to be true.  One of Tom's proudest achievements was being a grandpa.  Being with his grandchildren were some of the greatest highlights in his life.  Also, many happy days were spent at Tom & Janet's cabin near Deadwood, SD spending time and catching up with their many friends.

Tom was also very involved in his community serving on many boards over the years.  He was one of the founding Board Members on the Tripp County Water Users District, a board member of  the South Dakota Wheat Growers Association Agtegra for 15 years, a founding member of the Hamill Horseman's Club, he served on the Hamill Hall board for many years, an Elks Club member and a Board member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Hamill.

He was preceded in death by his parents Therlow and Doris (Timmins) Fenenga, in-laws, Clarence and Gladys (Nelson) Woidneck and sister Glenda Miller.

Tom is survived by his wife Janet, son Clay & Jennie (Seefeldt) Fenenga and children Derek and Jori of Hamill, SD,  daughter Ann (Scott) Powers and children Wyatt and Sutton of Chamberlain, SD, son Brad & Tara (Parvin) Fenenga and children Kade and Echo of Hamill, SD, sister Barb (Roger) Legge of Fort Worth, Texas, brother-in-law Allen Miller of Rockville, Maryland, niece Laura (Bruce) Mayberry and children Trace and Charlie, Fort Worth, Texas, nephews; Ryan (Beth) Legge, San Antonio, Texas and children Teddy and Lorelei, and Tim (Victoria) Miller and son Thomas of Rockville, Maryland.
