T homas Flood, 51, of Winner, SD passed away on Thursday, May 26th, 2022 in Winner, SD.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 12:00PM at the Winner Ideal Community Hall in Winner, SD.  Burial will follow in the Holy Spirit Chapel Cemetery in Ideal, South Dakota.

Thomas James Flood was born to June and Lavern Flood Sr in Rosebud, SD Sept. 19th, 1970.  His Godparents were Beatrice White Buffalo, Vonna and Ronnie Lopez.  He was baptized in the Holy Spirit Chapel in Ideal, SD.  Tom went to grade school in Winner, SD and went to High school in Todd County, Mission SD. Where he met a few of his childhood friends, by his side throughout the years.  Tom spent his early years of his life with Joyce King and kids growing up in Hot Springs.   Tom was very athletic and enjoyed softball, basketball and enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed spending his time with family and friends also really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Leilani, Aaron, and Brooklyn.   He enjoyed helping everyone and would give his last dollar and his shirt off his back. During his time of adventures he met Mona DuBray and they had a son Schylar Aaron DuBray. Tom also had another son which he wanted to meet but never had the chance. He loved them both equally, he talked highly of both and thought the world of them. Tom had a free spirit with a heart of gold, a very good sense of humor and just had a good personality. He had a good outlook on life no matter what his living circumstances were. The ladies also enjoyed his company. He was survived by his siblings Vine, Rachel, Deanna, Mark, Kim, Prentiss, Lavern Delmar Jr, Tiffany, his sons, Great Grandmother Lavina Milk and Mother June Hitcher. He was proceeded in death by his father Lavern Delmar Flood Sr., aunts Jeanette Damond and Maybell Dixon and uncle Collins Flood, Johnny and Bernard Flood Jr, Grandma and Grandpa Pauline, Ruby King, Jim and Beatrice McLean, Uncle Johnny LaPointe, Great Grandmother Ruby LaPointe, Grandpa Dale Sr., Grandpa John King Jr, Grandma Joyce King, and Nephew Vernon Jr (Brother) Lopez.
