Sharon Kaye was born on February 9th, 1957 to Louie and Emma (Jackson) Mitchell in Rosebud, South Dakota.  She went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 18, 2025 at the Winner Regional Long-Term Care.

Sharon attended Wood Public School where she graduated in 1975 and went on to get her LPN degree at St. Mary's School of Practical Nursing in Pierre, SD in 1976.  Sharon worked at the Baptist Hospital in Winner for 1 year before moving to White River to work for Bower's Care Center for 3.5 years.  She then went to work at the Mission Medical Clinic for 8 years and then transferred to the White River Clinic where she worked for 4 years.  She moved to Martin, SD and went to work for the Bennett County Clinic until 2022.  To keep doing her love of nursing she went to work for Stillwater Hospice out of Rapid city, SD until 2025.

Sharon married Lloyd Larvie and to this union Nicole Raye was born.  After they divorced, she and Nicole continued to live in Wood.  She later married Ronald Koenig and after their divorce, she met her soul mate Harold Koenig in Martin, SD and they were together until Harold's passing in 2016.

Her greatest join in life was spending time with Nicole and staying close to her family and friends, many she viewed as family.  She enjoyed spending time with her niece Kelli and nephew Michael's children; Scarlett, Wyatt and Beckett Hoffer and Lorelai Bolton who she viewed as her grandkids when she was able to spend time with them.

Due to health issues, she went into the Winner Regional Long-Term Care on October 15, 2025 until her passing.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Emma Mitchell, paternal grandparents Elmo and Katherine (Katie) Mitchell, maternal grandparents, Cleveland and Phoebe (Afraid of Bear) Jackson.  Her daughter Nicole Raye Larvie, Brothers; Albert Joseph Jr., Roger Joseph, sister Barbara (Joseph), Kerry Shelton with children Randy and Lori, niece Barbara Lee Joseph and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her sisters; Donna Brandis and Ann (Wayne) Bolton, brothers; Frank (Karen) Joseph and Paul (Whitney) Joseph.  All of her nieces, nephews, shared grandkids; Lorelai Bolton, Scarlett Hoffer, Wyatt Hoffer, Beckett Hoffer and her special little man River Trueblood.
