Richard Brickman, 79, of Winner, SD passed away on May 22, 2025 at the Winner Regional Health Care Facility in Winner, SD.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Winner Holiday Inn Express in Winner, SD.  Burial will follow at a later date.

Richard Ray Brickman was born in Burke, South Dakota on June 15, 1945 to Dorothy Mann Brickman and John Brickman.

Richard was baptized and confirmed into the faith at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Clearfield where he and his family attended.

Richard and his sister Diane Studt and Karen Cook attended Longview Rual School; upon completing the eighth grade he decided to leave school and go into the family farming and ranching business.

On October 11th, 1969 Richard married Jeannie Eldridge; to this union two sons were born, Michael on September 3rd, 1970 and James on May 13th, 1973.  The family resided on the family farm until 1985 when they moved to Winner.  Richard continued to help on the family farm and also worked at the Winner Livestock on Fridays until his parents retired, he then went to work at McDonalds as a cook where he worked for about 25 years.

Richard is survived by his wife Jeannie, two sisters; Diane and Karen, his sons; Michael (Cora), James (Joan), four granddaughters; Kaitlyn (Zack), Moya (Brian), Keely (Evan), and Brianna, two step-grandchildren; Brent and Emma and four great-grandchildren; William, NaTasha, Paisley, and Bayne along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
