The family of Patricia Storms, 78, of Pierre, South Dakota, is saddened to announce her passing on July 3, 2025. While her absence is deeply felt, they take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband, Linus.

Patricia was born on March 12, 1947 to Earl and Patricia (Nicholas) Haslam in New Jersey. After graduating from college, she and a group of close friends moved to Chamberlain, South Dakota, to begin their teaching careers. It was there she met the love of her life, Linus Storms. The couple made their home in Winner, South Dakota, for many years before eventually settling in Pierre. Together, they raised four children—Chris, Ben, Bess, and Abe—who were the pride and joy of her life.

A devout Catholic, Pat dedicated her life to God and found her faith only deepened after Linus's passing in 2004. Following her retirement from teaching, she remained active in her community, especially at St. John's Catholic Church in Fort Pierre. There, she not only found spiritual fulfillment but also formed deep and lasting friendships that enriched her later years.

She also found great joy in tending her garden and spending time with her cherished grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her four children: Chris (Tamra) Storms of Manhattan, KS; Ben (Holly) Storms of Laurens, IA; Bess (Derek) Wyszynski of Colman, SD; and Abe (Kate) Storms of Bismarck, ND. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Hunter, Dayne, Emma, Brennen, Chance, Sawyer, Eleanor, Leo, and Jack.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Patricia Haslam; her brother, Bill Haslam; and her husband, Linus Storms.
