He was the youngest of four children born to Grover and Anna May Meyer. Norman attended Long View School, finishing 8th grade at the age of 12, and Winner High School, graduating with the class of 1938. On June 3, 1948 Norman married Margaret Korb in Gregory, SD. He and his brother Lloyd sang in a men's quartet. Following the closure of Star Prairie church, Norman and Margaret attended Carter Gospel Fellowship for many years. Norman also served on the Star Prairie school board and Star Prairie township board. In 2011 Norman moved to Sioux Falls to be closer to his family. He is survived by his daughters, Marge Wrotenbery and husband, Dave, and Janet Meyer, and by 3 grandchildren, Laurie and Dave Janzen, Kevin Wrotenbery, and Scott and Miriam Wrotenbery, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
