Michael "Mike" L. Long Crow, age 68, of Winner, South Dakota, journeyed to his heavenly home on April 4th, 2025, just ten days after celebrating his birthday. Born on March 25th, 1957, in Rosebud, South Dakota. Mike was the cherished son of the late Chauncey and Violet (Fleury) Long Crow and the third of fourteen siblings. A wake service will begin Tuesday April, 8 2025 followed by a second night of wake Wednesday April 9, 2025 at the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe Gymnasium in Fort Thompson South Dakota. Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 10, 2025 at 1 PM at the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe Gymnasium, with burial to follow in the Mniska Presbyterian Cemetery.

For 32 years, Mike dedicated his talents as a skilled mechanic and repair man at Schueth Repair, becoming a familiar and trusted face in the community. His work ethic and expertise then led him to DB's Bait Shop, followed by a four-year tenure at Rosebud Exchange. While health eventually led to his retirement, Mike's energetic spirit found him back at work transporting vehicles for Frontier Motors.

Beyond his professional life, Mike was a passionate competitor in the local pool and dart leagues. Though "the big one" may have eluded him, his sportsmanship and respectful demeanor earned him the admiration of all who played alongside or against him. His quiet gentle strength and gentle nature were an inspiration to countless individuals.

Mike was deeply committed to his community, serving as an elder for the Ideal Community, Vice President of the North Star Abate, a dedicated member of the Tripp County EMT, and the respectful caretaker of Mniska Presbyterian Cemetery. He found joy in the outdoors, pursuing hunting and fishing with enthusiasm especially when accompanied by his brother Orson. His love for racing took him to the excitement of the National Races in Knoxville, and his mechanical abilities were highly valued by the pit crews of several local race teams.

Mike was well known by all and described by those who knew him as a legend, a good friend, a great friend, a quiet man, and a kind-hearted soul always ready to lend a hand without seeking recognition. Mike's friendship was a true privilege.

He is now reunited in heaven with his parents, paternal grandparents Harvey and Winnie (Santee) Fleury, maternal grandparents William Long Crow Sr. and Rosa (Collins) Long Crow, three brothers five sisters, and several uncles and aunties.

Mike will be greatly missed by sisters Sharon Long Crow, Deb (Jarod) Johnson, Winnie Stepp, and Mary (Mel, Sr.) Rank all of Fort Thompson, South Dakota. Lois Long Crow and Patricia Long Crow both of Chamberlain, SD, one adopted sister Pam Brother of All and adopted brother Doug Rencountre, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
