MARILYNN L. VESELY, Age 87, of Riverside, CA, formally of Winner,  passed away on June 29, 2017 at Riverside Raincross Senior Living. Services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Winner.  Burial will follow at the Winner City Cemetery with luncheon following at St. Mary's Hall.

She was born on April 27, 1930 in Kennebec, So. Dakota and had lived in Riverside, CA for 55 years, previously in Moser, So. Dakota through grade school, Winner, So. Dakota through high school, Vermillion, So. Dakota through college where she obtained a BA and Masters of Arts Degree and Pine Ridge, So. Dakota until 1962.  She worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Pine Ridge, So. Dakota teaching until 1962, BIA Sherman Indian School as a counselor and owner of Arlington Business & Tax Service until 2015. She was a Federal enrolled agent.  She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Riverside, CA.

"Ves" as she was affectionately called, never married, but she "adopted" several children into her heart who think of her as their mother: Yvonne Shields, Penny Giago and Gary Fredericks. They will sorely miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents Clio Noy Vesely and Eliane Christine Neuhaus Vesely, both of Moser, S.D.  She is survived by her sisters Bonnie Wann of Riverside, CA and Mickey Steiger of Sturgis, S.D; brother Donald Vesely of Los Angeles, CA; niece Bernadette Merrill of Riverside, CA; nephews Don Fink of Baker, OR, Con Fink of Riverside, CA and Rock Steiger of Sturgis, S.D.
