Kelly Almendinger, 62, of Winner, SD passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Winner Regional Healthcare Center.  Memorial service will be held on Monday, February 4 ^th , 2019 at 10:30AM at the Mason Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at a later date.

Kelly James Almendinger was born in Winner, SD to the late Harold and Annetta Almendinger June 19, 1956. He is the youngest of four children. Kelly attended school in Winner and at the age of 17 joined the job Corp and graduated High School. Kelly was united in marriage to Rose Cox in 1976. To this union were born three sons; Christopher, Jacob, and Mike. Kelly worked various jobs throughout his life, he especially enjoyed carpentry work and did a lot of the remodel on the old Winner Hospital. He spent the rest of his years working road construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the history channels. He was a history buff and enjoyed visiting about it. Kelly spent a lot of time caring for his mother until her passing in March 2018.

Grateful for having shared his life are his children, Christopher Cox; Jacob Almendinger, Middle Grove, MO; Mike Almendinger, Winner, SD; sibling's Dennis (Linda) Almendinger; Lana (Jack) Kettler; Connie (Jim) Sandstrom; two grandsons and many nieces and nephews, cousins and a special friend Esther Andrews.

He is preceded in death by parents Harold and Annetta Almendinger, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
