John William Eagle Hawk Jr., 42, of Ideal, SD passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Winner Regional Health Care Center in Winner, SD. A wake service will be held on Sunday April 7, 2019 and Monday April 8, 2019 at 7PM at the Winner Community Hall in Winner, SD. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 1PM at the Winner Community Hall in Winner, SD. Burial will follow in the Ideal Cemetery.

John William Eagle Hawk Jr. was born November 6, 1976, to John & RoseMary (Iron Shooter) Eagle Hawk in Rosebud, SD. He began his journey to the Spirit World on March, 30, 2019 at the Winner Regional Hospital. He battled health problems for years before his body retired. John is the Grandson to Clarence "Matthew" Eagle Hawk & Lucy (Eagle Star) Eagle Hawk and Franklin & Margaret Iron Shooter.

John lived in Ideal, SD a majority of his life. He attended school in Ideal till his 8 ^th grade year. He then attended Winner High School. John loved to play basketball and football. All through his Elementary School years he played basketball (country conference 1 ^st -8 ^th ) for the Ideal Tigers.

John was a Family man. He spent a lot of his time taking care of his Grandmother Lucy (Eagle Star) Eagle Hawk, his mother and father, his brother and sister and helped raise his nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John had both of his legs amputated but that never stopped the jokes. Instead, he used his jokes to help him deal with his surgeries. John's sense of humor was unique, always made laughter in a crowd. Everyone enjoyed his company. He had an impact on everybody he met and that knew him. JOHN IS LOVED BY MANY AND HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED.

John was a huge fan of the New England Patriots. He took pride in his team year round.

John is survived by his son Jake Moore, and his daughter Cheyenne Small. His only sister Laura (Gabriel) Cavazos of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi and his only brother Merlyn Eagle Hawk of Yankton, SD. His uncles Clarence (Veneda) Eagle Hawk Jr. of Winner, SD, Daniel Eagle Hawk Sr. of Ideal, SD, Xavier Iron Shooter, Darrell Iron Shooter both of Winner, SD, Kenneth Iron Shooter of Redfield, SD. His aunts Ruth & Wiley DuBray of Ideal, SD and Gloria Iron Shooter of Mission, SD. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John is proceeded in death by his Grandparents Clarence "Matthew" & Lucy (Eagle Star) Eagle Hawk, Franklin & Margaret Iron Shooter, His parents John Eagle Hawk Sr. & RoseMary Iron Shooter. His Uncles Frankie Iron Shooter, Burton and LeRoy Eagle Hawk. His Aunts Martha Iron Shooter, Virginia & Renetta Eagle Hawk.
