Jeffrey Felix was born on June 28, 1970, in Rosebud South Dakota to Patrick & Wilma Joyce (Roubideaux) Felix and departed to his heavenly home on January 14, 2023, at the Winner Regional Healthcare Center in Winner SD.

Jeffrey grew up and lived his whole life in Winner. He attended winner school up to the eighth grade and then received his GED from the Sinte Gleska University in Mission SD. Jeffrey went on to further his education at the Sinte Gleska University. During the time he attended SGU he made the Dean's list. Jeffrey worked various jobs, including the Winner Nursing Home in earlier years, the Zip Trip formerly Ampride for many years, Casey's General Store, then the Gus Stop until his health started to decline and he was unable to work anymore. He also served on the North & South Ideal Lakota community as Treasurer for a brief time.

Jeffrey was a very liked man. Wherever he went he made friends. He was known by many as "Dancing Bear." He was nice, kind, & gentle who always had a smile. He liked to joke with family and friends too. He really enjoyed family get togethers such as cookouts, birthdays, and holiday dinners. He liked to dance and attended dances, softball games, powwows, mud races, working on cars and spending time with his friends also.

Throughout the years, Jeffrey took a nephew and nieces under his wing. He also opened his home to family members and friends and was willing to lend a helping hand when he could. He did the best he could with what he had.

Jeffrey was courageous and strong. He fought til the end but lost his physical battles, but gained his Angel wings and went to his heavenly home. He now lives pain free, no tears, no more suffering! But he took a piece of our hearts with him, and we will always love and miss our brother, uncle, grandpa, nephew, and cousin. He will be lovingly remembered by all who know him.

Doks'a Ake' Wac'inyankinkte someday brother.
