J acklyn Martin,78, of Winner, SD passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Winner Regional Healthcare Center in Winner.  Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 10:00AM at the Hamill Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Hamill.  Burial will follow in the Hamill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral service.

Jackie lived in Hamill, SD all of her life until moving to the Lamro apartments in 2006.  On January 18, 2016 she moved into the Elder Inn and resided there until the time of her death at the Winner Regional Healthcare Center on November 17, 2018.

Jackie had a love for cats and that was noticeable by the décor in her apartment.  Jackie loved to mend her clothes, color and cut out pictures in magazines and then would draw the pictures.  She graduated from the 8th grade from Colome School and graduated from Gregory High School in 1959.  Following graduation, she worked various jobs and worked at the Rainbow Café for 36 years.

Jackie truly enjoyed visiting and was thankful for all the visits she received from her Hamill friends!!  She enjoyed her outings with her friend Sylvania Earll, her visits and her homemade cookies she would bring to the Elder Inn for Jackie to share with her friends for coffee hour.  She loved listening to music and could be heard humming tunes as she said it made her feel better.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents; Clarence and Wanita, brother Robert Martin and nephew Ryan.

She is survived by a sister-in-law Mary (Jelinek) Martin.

She was very thankful for the care and concern she received from Winner Regional Hospital Staff up until her final moments.  Thank you!!
