Jack Day, 90, of Winner, SD passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Winner Regional Long-Term Care Facility in Winner, SD.  Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 11:00am at the First Christian Church in Winner, SD.  Burial will follow in the Winner City Cemetery.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to memorial service.

Jack was born on May 8, 1935, in Murdo, South Dakota, on the family 's
White River Farm, to William Day Sr. and Pearl Coash Day. A man of
quiet strength and enduring devotion, Jack lived a full life, marked
by his dedication to his family, his faith, and his career.

On July 6, 1957, Jack married the love of his life, Mary Ann Hall, in
San Juan, Puerto Rico. They shared a remarkable 68 beautiful years
together, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Jack
proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Following his military
service, he had a distinguished professional career, serving as a
banking vice president for over 20 years and also as the Finance
Officer for the city of winner. He was known as an honest and proud
businessman throughout his life.

Jack truly loved and cherished his family, always taking care of and
doing right by them. His legacy of love extends to his countless
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In his leisure time, Jack was happiest enjoying the simple pleasures of
life. He loved mowing, spending time boating, the thrill of riding
motorcycles, and playing racquetball with partner Bill Pistulka.
Even as good as they were they could not beat Jim and Chris Snavely.
He also enjoyed playing men's softball where he affectionately
earned the nickname "Wheels" that stayed with him forever. He
especially enjoyed camping in the beautiful Black Hills of South
Dakota. Twenty-four years ago, Jack was baptized alongside his son,
Jim, and he loved Jesus, remaining faithful until the very end.

Jack is survived by his wife MaryAnn, two sons, Jack (Susie), of Porter,
TX and Jim (Chandra) of Winner, SD. 7 grandchildren: Corey Day, Kari
(Dirk) Vanzee, Nick (JoDessa) Ladd, Alysia (Justin) Tubbs, Justin Day, Blake Day,
Cassie Haakinson and 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great
grandchildren, and sister; Judith Day Bartels.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Day Sr. , his mother,
Pearl Coash Day, and his brother, William F. (Donna) Day Jr. , and
brother-in-law Raymond Bartels.
