Gladys Faye Kramer (formerly Gladys Anderson) passed away in Winner, South Dakota, on July 7, 2022.   The family will gather for a private service at a future date.

Gladys was born on June 16, 1932, to George and Coral Klein.  She started her life with five siblings in a sod house and attended school near Hidden Timber, South Dakota.  In 1949, while attending Winner High School, she eloped to marry her sweetheart, Raymond Anderson.  Gladys was a loving wife, mother, aunt, and friend.  She was an avid vegetable and flower gardener, passionate birdwatcher, active in her church and United Methodist Women, and worked at the Todd County High School and Assessor's office.  In addition to preparing meals for her family, it would not be unusual to find her on a four-wheeler, caring for livestock or toting a rifle to control unwanted wildlife.   She and Raymond were grateful for the friendship of their farm neighbors, treasured their extended family and were true life partners on the ranch.  They devotedly supported their children's and grandchildren's passions and events even if from afar.    They shared over 51 loving years on the Charolais cattle ranch they built near Mission, South Dakota.    After Raymond's sudden passing in 2002, Gladys met and married Francis Kramer in 2005. They enjoyed 11 years together in Winner, SD, often spending weekends on the dance floor until Francis' death in 2016.  She was blessed in her final years by companionship with her friend, Tom.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, siblings (and their spouses), husbands and one granddaughter.  Gladys leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, her children: Weyland (Peggy) Anderson of Rapid City, SD; Lindsey (Bette) Anderson of Mission, SD; Nathan (Christine) Anderson of Roanoke, VA, and Wendy (Donnie) Campbell of Vicksburg, Michigan, and her grandchildren: Kiel (Paul) Lemon, Ethan (Charlene) Anderson, Wesley (Alexandria) Anderson, Shanna and Sierra Alley, and Trevor (Olivia), Tyler and Tucker Campbell.  She was blessed with three great grandchildren (Josiah and Annika Lemon and Caden Rohde).

Gladys' family are grateful for the love and support Gladys received from her nieces and nephews and the loving care provided to her by the staff at Golden Prairie Manor and Winner Regional Long Term Care.

Memorials have been designated to the United Methodist Churches of Mission and Winner, SD.
