George Hysell, 67, of Winner, SD passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Winner Regional Long-Term Care Facility in Winner.  Funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 1:00PM at the Mason Funeral Home in Winner.  Burial will follow in the Rosebud Cemetery in Bonesteel, SD.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral service.

George Edward Hysell was born on July 22, 1951 in Plainview, NE to George and Lucille Hysell.  He was raised on a farm near Verdigre, NE by his Mom and bonus Dad, Steve Rohrer.

George attended country school District #16, located right across the fence from his farm home.  He attended high school in Verdigre where he was active in FFA.  George enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping, often tanning the hides for spending money.

After school, George moved to Winner, SD and was employed as a mechanic and farm hand up until his death.  He especially enjoyed farming and caring for animals.  George was good with numbers often calculating the exact materials needed to complete a fencing job.

To all of those who knew George well knew that he was very generous, honest and he had a big heart.

George is survived by his 3 sisters; Roena (Milan) Jensen of Creighton, NE, DeAnna Fulton of Verdigre, NE and Rhonda (Gail) Harrison of Orlando, FL, along with many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

George is preceded in death by his parents, 2 infant brothers, Gary and Daniel, 2 nephews, Arlen and Jayd Jensen, his wife Janet and a very close friend Audra Vogt.
