Ervin Anderson, age 85, of Winner, SD will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Assembly of God Church in Winner. Burial will be in the Winner Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 pm until 7 pm, at the church. Ervin was born on May 21, 1929 to Earnest and Julia Anderson one mile north on Big Dog Ear Lake. He was one of 10 children. When Ervin was 6 years old his folks bought a place on Rock Hill, five miles south of Winner. There he attended Rock Hill School and helped on the farm. In the summer of 1951, Ervin joined the USMC. During his tour of duty in Korea he was injured from a land mine, resulting in his jaw being wired shut for months, After he was honorably discharges he met and married Carol Beck of Witten. To this union 3 children were born: Carlynn, Duane, and Lorilynn. In 1969 they adopted Laretta Ironheart DeBolt. Ervin was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Winner. He enjoyed raising livestock and putting up hay. Ervin is survived by his children Carol Sundquist, Duane and Diane Anderson, Kevin and Lori Wagner and Laretta DeBolt; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers Dale and Phil and sister Lou. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol, brothers Bill, Jim, and infant brother Jack; Sisters Ruthy, Phyllis, and Margret, and grandson Trayvin DeBolt.
