Elizabeth Sue "Beth" Montour, aged 62, passed away on July 16, 2024, in Phoenix, AZ.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 1:00PM at the Winner Methodist Church in Winner, SD.  Burial will follow in the Mniska Cemetery near Dixon, SD.  A wake service will begin on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 5:30PM at the Winner Elementary School Gymnasium.

Beth was born on March 24, 1962, in Albuquerque, NM, Beth was a vibrant and kind-hearted individual known for her outgoing personality, generosity and deep faith in Jesus Christ.

She attended Rosebud Elementary School, Northwest Indian Bible School, and furthered her education at Sinte Gleska University and Colorado Christian University.

Professionally, Beth made significant contributions to her community through her work at Native Connections, a nonprofit organization aiding people with disabilities.  She also served as a price coordinator at Winner Super Foods, bringing dedication and warmth to every role she held.

An avid sports enthusiast, Beth enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball and was fiercely competitive.  Her love for sports was matched by her passion for reading, volunteering, and mentoring, impacting many lives positively.

Beth was a devoted member of the Raymond Montour Memorial Chapel, where she was actively involved in various church activities. Beth dedicated many years to teaching Sunday school at the church her father started in Winner, stepping in as a pastor when needed.

She leaves behind a loving family including her siblings Ruth Hooper, Sharon Phelps, Dave Montour, James Montour, and Esther Montour, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Frances Montour, her sister Rebecca Wakeman, and her grandmothers Kathleen Maracle and Elizabeth Sprague.

Beth's life will be celebrated and remembered for her unwavering faith, joyful spirit, and the profound impact she had on those around her.
