Dorothy Hazuka, 93, of Winner, SD passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Sunquest Healthcare Center in Huron, SD.  Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 10:30AM at the United Methodist Church in Winner, SD.  Burial will follow in the Winner City Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Mason Funeral Home from 6-7PM with a prayer service beginning at 7:00PM.

Dorothy (Hollenbeck) Hazuka was born in Arnold, Nebraska on November 29, 1925 to Harry and Helen Hollenbeck.

Dorothy (Dottie) graduated from Winner High School in 1944 and then worked at the Assman Agency in Winner, SD.   Dorothy married Roy Hazuka on February 15, 1947.  They lived and worked on the family farm in Tripp County until retiring and moving to Winner in 1995.  They were married for 70 years.

Dottie worked along side her husband on the family farm, while raising her children, gardening, canning, and taking care of the farm animals.  It was said that she was "boot leather tough".  She was also active in the Lone Tree Township Women's Club. Dottie also enjoyed accompanying her husband to the many dances in which he played the accordion.

She also enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and her husband in March of 2017.

She is survived by her son Roger (Ann) Hazuka of Huron, SD, daughter Diane Millsagle of Rapid City, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters; Berniece Kindt of Oacoma, SD, Elna Black of Belle Fourche and numerous nieces and nephews.
