Donald Novotny, 84, of Winner, South Dakota passed away at his home on Thursday, April 11, 2019.  Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 17 ^th , 2019 at 1:00PM at the Clausen Funeral Home in Burke, SD.  Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral service on Wednesday.

Donald Albert Novotny was born to Albert Sr. and Josephine (Rehak) Novotny on March 11, 1935 on the family homestead.

Don attended rural grade school.  He was a life long resident of Tripp County and farmed and ranched on the family farm until the time of his death.

He married Delores (Schrader) Bennett on June 3 ^rd , 1977.

Donald's greatest joy was always family first.  Stepson DeWayne Bennett and wife Sheila, his granddaughters; Devon Bennett, Mardi (Jones) Swanson and grandson Mike Jones.

He is survived by his wife Delores, stepson DeWayne Bennett, 3 sisters; Dot Wilson, Connie Davis and Martha Dougherty, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and granddaughter Devon Bennett who was the apple of his eye.
