Obituary

Donald Wayne Biggins, 77, of Grand Junction Colorado passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at his home in Grand Junction, Colorado. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Mason Funeral Home in Winner, SD. Burial will follow in the Winner City Cemetery. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday. Donald Wayne Biggins was born on October 3, 1936 to Robert Jefferson and Lillian Adel (Redding) Biggins in Geddes, SD. He passed away September 8, 2014 at his home in Grand Junction, CO, 24 days shy of his 78th birthday. He grew up and attended school in Geddes, SD. Upon moving to Winner he worked construction for John Carlson Construction. On November 2, 1963 Don married June L. Biggins. They had 2 sons together, Todd Scott and Shawn David. He worked for Tripp County Highway and West Side Service Station. On November 21, 1991, he divorced June and lived in Winner doing various jobs. In the fall of 1994, Don moved to Rapid City to live with Shawn and worked at the Truck Stop. He then moved to Sturgis and semi-retired. In July 2008, he moved to Grand Junction, Co. He is survived by his former wife June Biggins of Delta, CO.; 2 sons, Todd (Kym) Biggins of Columbia, SC. and Shawn Biggins of Grand Junction, CO.; 3 granddaughters, Kristina (Chris) Farve of Columbia, SC, Ashley Biggins of Clarksville, VA, and Amanda (James) Shade of Columbia, SC; 2 great-granddaughters, Hannah and Olivia of Columbia, SC.; 1 great-grandson Jordan of Clarksville, VA.; half-brother Darrell of Thousand Oaks, CA.; sisters Darlene of Winner, Joyce (Bob) Herman of Winner, and Pat Doty of Denver, CO.; sister-in-law Beverly Biggins of Winner; 10 nephews, 6 nieces, and a few cousins. He was proceeded in death by his parents Robert and Lillian, brothers Robert and Thomas, sister-in-law Shirley, his nephew Joe, and a grandson in infancy.
