Bethany D. Lafferty, age 44, of Mission, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the He Dog Gym in He Dog. Burial will follow at the St. Thomas Cemetery in Mission. Wakes Services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, November 30, and Friday, December 1, 2017 at the He Dog Gym in He Dog.

Bethany Dawn Lafferty was born February 28, 1973 in Winner, South Dakota to Ann E. Roubideaux and William R. Lafferty.  She is survived by both Parents, William C. Lafferty brother and Nephews Taylor K. Lafferty and William H. Lafferty.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Eugene Roubideaux, Genevieve White Wing, William B. Lafferty and Delores Lafferty.

As the first child and grand child Bethany was raised in He Dog. The Creek as we called it. Bethany was always a county girl and then a proud veteran (like the old saying you can take the girl from the country but you can't take the country out of her). Bethany loved to do many things and she could do many things.  Most of all She loved to visit and share life's stories.  One thing She always knew was family both immediate and distant.

As always Bethany was a leader and caretaker, always looking out for others and in a way protecting them. So in May of 1991 after graduation from Todd County and as the Gulf War started, she signed up for Navy without hesitation.  She returned home a proud Veteran and remained loyal to her follow veterans.
