Albert Davis, 61, of Winner, SD passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 2:00PM at the Mason Funeral Home in Winner, SD. Burial will follow in the Winner City Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service.

Al was born September 17, 1957 to Lloyd and Josephine (Abourezk) Davis in Faulkton, SD.

After Alby graduated from Winner High School in 1975, he traveled and worked labor jobs in several states before returning in 1980. He briefly worked for the City of Winner, and then attended Mitchell Vo-Tech where received his Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Certification in 1984.  Alby returned to Winner, and after briefly working for the county and Storms Oil, he began managing the Pheasant Bar in 1989. He bought the business in 1996 and sold it in 2007. Throughout his career with the Pheasant he was a strong supporter of the community doing fund raising and donations to various organizations.   Al was the recipient of the 2005 ESA Alpha Phi Zeus Award an honor that recognizes a man who gives outstanding service to his community.

After leaving Winner in 2007 he moved to Sioux Falls starting E-Auction Depot until 2009.  He then worked various jobs before coming back to Winner in 2016 working as a custodian for the Winner School District where the students loved him.  Winner was truly his home.  In his spare time Al enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

Al is survived by his sister, LeeAnne Davis of Sioux Falls, SD, his half-sister Geri Lewis and her husband Dan of Torrington, WY and his many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Josephine.
